This luxury destination wedding floral design at Château de Champlâtreux grew from the place itself. Just outside Paris, the château is classical, structured and filled with light. Stone, symmetry and long perspectives define the space. The florals needed to respect that order while bringing warmth, movement and a sense of intimacy into it.

From the start, my intention was not to decorate the château, but to work with its scale. To soften without diminishing. Every floral decision followed the rhythm of the architecture, the height of the rooms, the way the interiors open onto the gardens. In a setting like this, bespoke floral design isn’t a choice, it’s a necessity. Nothing can be applied here without listening first.

The ceremony was conceived as a quiet, focused moment. Florals framed the aisle and the altar with natural movement, never pulling attention away from the couple. Flowers were chosen for their texture, depth and seasonal presence, creating an atmosphere that felt grounded and alive rather than arranged. The château became part of the ceremony, not a backdrop, but a presence.

Inside, the floral installations were designed with restraint. Mantelpieces, mirrors and architectural details were enhanced gently, allowing flowers and foliage to interact with light, aged surfaces and gilded elements. I worked with volume and softness, always aiming for balance, letting the space breathe while adding life to it.

Seasonality was central to this project. All florals were selected based on what was naturally available at that moment, using a foam free floral approach throughout. For me, sustainability and luxury are inseparable. Working with season and place keeps the design honest and deeply connected to its environment.

This wedding was a reminder that destination weddings are not about excess, but about intention. When floral design is approached with care, it shapes how a day is remembered. At Château de Champlâtreux, the flowers didn’t compete with the setting. They brought balance, warmth and life to a historic space, allowing the celebration to feel elegant, personal and deeply felt.
